All things new and exciting about Sydney. Where to visit, where to go, how to get there and what to do. Visit Sydney and enjoy this wonderful city!
Paolo Mojo is the kind of DJ that refuses to be put in a box. "I've never understood this 'genre' bollocks," he says. "To me the best DJs always select the best bits from a wide range of sounds and put them together in a way that just makes sense to people."

Here is something for the girls - and guys who have an artistic sensitive side to them. Fashionanarchy is launching Australian Victims of Fashion Week this Thursday night - and before you think "spoiled, stupid little stick figures with poofy lips" in the immortal words of fashion designer Edna Mode from The Incredibles, think again.
Fashionanarchy is a performative showcase of local designers; this is not just skinny girls walking down a catwalk. This is a show. Expect the unexpected, and maybe leave the little cocktail dress at home. The string quartet themselves will be wearing nothing but their lingerie (well, maybe this is for the guys too). Getting tired of McDonalds music? Craving something with a bit of soul, bit of feeling, bit of a raw edge? Then I've got just the prescription.
Tomorrow night, head down to Kink Bar at Hotel Bondi, where Club Mojo will be showcasing two young bands hitting it up old-school. Ooh La La are a band from our very own Inner West, who profess to have a passion for early boogie, soul, and early rock n roll. I for one am loving the local flavour. Any chicks out there should definitely head out to this; what's cooler than dating a guy in a band?

Now this is one that definitely cannot be missed. This Saturday 22nd April, get yourself down to the Newtown RSL for an event so reasonably priced, it puts Crazy Clarks to shame!

Blown out your ear drums standing too close to the speakers in a club? Feel like maybe having a chilled-out Sunday night, to wile your way into Monday morning? Then this is the gig for you.
DJ Tom Thump""> International DJs Tom Thump from San Francisco, Marc Davis from Chicago, and Treva Whatever (are we loving the name people?) will be bringing you the latest sounds in disco funk, soul and boogie, house, and more. And let's not forget our locals, Boogaloo Crew, Phil Simmonds, John Glover, Aaron Achurch, Trent Rackus and Chris Creator.

An actual dragonfly with no affliation to the bar whatsoever..."] Dragonfly is turning two tonight! And we all know what that means.... Copious amounts of free alcohol!
Admittedly, this is very short notice, but anyone who has a spontaneous itching to go out partying tonight, should really head on down to Potts Point. Dragonfly is the kind of place you can wear your nice pair of heels, or your good dress shirt - it is Sophistication, without the Elitism. Word of the Day - chic. You definitely want to be seen here tonight, and I can pretty much
guarantee the joint will be jumping.

Seeing as this is the last DNBBQ for the season, I'd say you'd just be daft to miss it. It's a night that promises great food, great music and a chilled out, laid back kind of atmosphere - perfect for a Sunday night after the big Easter weekend! DNBBQ promises to showcase the whole Drum n Bass spectrum, from hip hop to reggae, dancehall to dub. And this is not just unsubstantiated schmoozing. Having went to the last DNBBQ at Manning, I know that this will be fun.

This is the place to be seen on a Friday night - just like these gorgeous people:
With DJs Ash Le Rouge and Ghostgirl, playing self professed "psych-post-funk-punk-no-wave-love-wave-rock-rave-electro-80s-indie-pop" at the Boobytrap, Leeroy Brown of Katalyst, representing in the bar downstairs, and electro in the club, there is certainly something for everyone. For those of you unfamiliar with Katalyst and their sound, check this out.

Not that I know what that expression means exactly... But my idea of going crazy broadway-style entails alot of bass, alot of jumping around, and possibly copious amounts of alcohol. No? Just me?
Well if any of that sounds appealing to anyone else, here's what you should do with your $20 - go out and buy a ticket. But not just any ticket. Buy a ticket to Break Inn feat London Elektricity, drum n bass group hailing all the way from England on their world tour

Picture the scene: it's a Wednesday night. Your phone rings. It is your boss/parent/teacher giving you the night off working/doing chores/studying. So you think you might go out, and celebrate. And then, you open your wallet. That red $20 glistens back at you, almost mockingly. You sigh. Turn on Desperate Housewives.
Sound familiar?
