Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!
Yes, we'll definitely be hearing more of that since it's becoming one of the must-chants for any event concerning Australia.
In full Sydney tradition, Australia Day is going to be celebrated with an Indigenous Ceremony in the Royal Botanic Gardens, followed by the great BBQ from 10:30am to 8pm at night in Hyde Park, where everyone is invited to enjoy snags on the barbie mixed with Asian and European favourites. At the same time, a stage will be set up for children's performances by ABC for Kids shows.
For the slightly older, The Rocks will be the place to go where five stages will be set up for you to groove with Kate Miller-Heidke and rock with Evermore. Other artists include the Youth Group, Dan Kelly, Jason Lowe and many more. Performances start at 11am and will go on until 8pm.
Once you are gone with the party, head over to Darling Harbour for spectacular fireworks with a sound and lighting show.
And the best thing is, if you party a little too hard on Saturday, you have two days to sleep it off.
Happy Australia Day.
