South American Festival at Bondi Pavilion
February 11th 2008 10:33
Need something to do that is outside the city centre and a day of fun in the sun and the surf?
The annual Bondi Pavilion South American festival is on again this Sunday on the 17 Feb from 1pm to 7:30pm.
Organised by Waverley council, Mayor Ingrid Strewe says it's a big celebration and family fun day of the Central and South American cultures. There will be dancing, kids activities and food stalls to keep everyone entertained, and performances by the Sonido de Los Andes, Latin American String Ensemble, Brazilian Samba Group and many more will grace the stage, and the night will be filled with drumming, dancing and martial arts as part of the Brazilian Show.
The Pavilion Gallery will be running exhibitions on art and cultural displays as well as hold workshops on dancing for those who like to learn a bit of the beat. Tickets available at the door.
