One perfect day in Sydney
March 5th 2008 03:48
In Lonely Planet's 'The Perfect Day', Sally O'Brien describes her perfect day in Sydney to begin with a swim, then breakfast in Potts Point, lunch at the Vaucluse House and end with a sunset swim at Tamarama.
Boy do I wish I had such leisure time to enjoy the beautiful coasts of Sydney!
If I must describe my dream day in Sydney, I think this would have to be it:
Coffee in Leichhardt for breakfast is a must, especially at my favourite Berkelouw Cafe where I can check out any new or interesting titles after a satisfying breakfast. Then, I would catch the bus and head to Circular Quay, get a ferry to Mosman for a leisurely walk to and along Belmoral Beach. Along the way I would stop and gaze into the moving waters and watch morning walkers with their dogs, trotting along the side walks.
Oh, I would have packed a sandwich lunch to have on the beach as well.
Getting back on the ferry, I would stop by The Rocks for some afternoon treat at La Renaissance Patisserie Francaise, and have my favourite creme brulee with a cup of English Breakfast tea, before heading to Chinatown for a cheap but delicious dinner, wait for the sun to set and get to Sydney Observatory for a star gazing session.

Any European countries or towns in Australia I'd get on a cycle and roam. Not in Sydney I am afraid.

Ok, I am not suppose to promote the "competition" but if you want to cycle, New Zealand is wonderful for it.
