Paolo Mojo is the kind of DJ that refuses to be put in a box. "I've never understood this 'genre' bollocks," he says. "To me the best DJs always select the best bits from a wide range of sounds and put them together in a way that just makes sense to people."

With a style that incorporates elements of house, funk, techno, breaks, electro, disco and acid, he's always going to have you guessing, and always going to leave you wanting more.

Now I tried to get you guys some samples of his new album. The best thing I could find was this, with the samples down on the left, but I personally couldn't get any of them to work. Maybe you'll have better luck!

Otherwise just go here and click on the big buttons with the speaker symbol on them - that's easy enough! Sure it's a little outdated, but it may give you a general idea.

Interested? Then head down to Candy's Apartment, 22 Bayswater Roads, Kings Cross, this Friday night at 10pm. Tickets are only being sold at the door, for $20.

I know...! And makes it so easy to bag too. People are always saying things like, "I hate country" or "I hate alternative rock" or whatever. But there's always exceptions to the rule!
