Power up your curiosity at the Powerhouse Museum
May 14th 2008 07:21
I like the Powerhouse Museum.
I like practical hands on stuff and all the turning motion and slice cut models of trains and planes where I can see how the engines work and how the wheels turn. I also like to try my hand at some trivial quizzes on science and space and lots of other interesting facts that we possibly don't need to know but always good to find out
And the Powerhouse Museum offers just that. The exhibitions cover a wide subject from Australian history to the evolutions of trains and planes, making sure all interests are covered.
At the moment, the Powerhouse Museum is holding an exhibition on Diana which closes on 18 May 2008. New special exhibitions are always on so look out for the news.

My gripe with the museum is that a lot of the hands-on science-experiment type exhibits are broken. Yes, it's important to spend money on acquiring teapots from the 1930s, but how about fixing the bicycle-powered fire engine?
(I lied about the teapots. I don't think they're important at all. Muahahaha!)
