Congratulations Harbour BridgeClimb!

Last Friday, in a dinner conference held in Canberra, the BridgeClimb was award the best Major Tourist Attraction by 2007 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
It is also the only tourist attraction in Sydney that has received an award, selected within 25 categories among 190 finalists. So that's a round of cheers for this iconic Sydney structure and those who came up with the climbing initiatives.
When it began operation in 1998, I had no doubt of it becoming one of the major tourist activities in Sydney. What I did doubt, was whether any one living in Sydney, would actually go along.
Well, apparently they do, and many also used the opportunity to plan for something even bigger, with more than 1100 marriage proposals from those helplessly romantic couples wanting to ask the big question while being on top of the world.
Maybe it's about time I give it a go, although, the AU$179 price tag for the basic climb is slightly putting a little too much burden for satisfying a curiosity.
Or perhaps some of you have been on the BridgeClimb and convince me it's worth every cent that will be paid?

Great idea for a tourism venture though and I'm sure the view from the bridge is magnificent.
More than happy to look at the photos
