Sydney Greek Festival
March 29th 2008 07:09
The Sydney Greek Festival started today and will continue tomorrow from 10am -10pm at Darling Harbour. Go along for a bit of Greak performances and food stalls as well as cultural information stands.
The festival is in its 26th year, and "is the perfect way to celebrate the vibrant multiculturalism of Sydney and to explore the beauty of Greek culture." says the organisers.
The Darling Harbour event is only the kick off of a two months long celebration of Greek culture and history, and from next week onwards, there will be series of theatre and music performaces, lectures on ancient and modern Greek cultures, art exhibitions and the presentation of the Dionysios Solomos Awards to the highest ranking Greek languages student.
