Sydney outdoor events
January 5th 2008 07:06
Summer is always a great time here in Sydney, everyone is out, enjoying what they can of the lovely beaches and outdoor recreations before the rainy winter comes along forcing everyone to turn back into hermits.
Well, besides the Sydney Festival, there are other outdoor events on right now for all to enjoy!
The St George Open Air cinemas
Once again, the St George bank sponsored open air cinemas at Mrs Macquaries Chair. The season will run from 11 Jan to 16 Feb and showing current block busters on a big screen, with the beautiful Sydney harbour in the back drop. Ticket purchase and further information can be found at: St George Open Air Cinemas
Summer fun at the Sydney Observatory
One of the most spectacular sightings are those of the stars. And in summer, they light up bright and shinny for us to go and discover. The Sydney Observatory has a list of activities for the whole family to enjoy a fun day under the stars, including the upcoming Jeepers Creepers Ghost Tours and Twilight Pizza Nights.

Twilight at Taronga '08
All through February and March, The Sun-Herald Twilight at Tarong concert series returns this year with many musical favourites. I personally love the zoo already with its wonder cliff top views of the harbour and being surrounded by beautiful animals of our planet. It is in this environment that Bjorn Again and other musical acts fill the air with our loved hits.
Tickets can be purchased at Ticketek on 132 849 or at www.ticketek.com.au
So, with all these events happening, why would you want to stay indoors? Whether it be during the day or at night, you are sure to be entertained all through to the end of summer!
